Privacy

This site sets no cookies, embeds no third-party trackers and loads no fonts, scripts or images from anywhere else. There is no consent banner because there is nothing that needs consent.

It counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does no cross-site tracking. What we see is aggregate — visits, pages, countries, referrers — never who anyone is. Vercel processes this on our behalf.

It is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for a short period as part of running the service. We don’t read them, and we don’t try to identify anyone from them.

Nothing. There is no form on this site, no newsletter and no account. The only place it sends you is the Mac App Store, and what happens there is between you and Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy. We see sales totals, never who bought.

Under the GDPR you can still ask what we hold about you (for this site, nothing), or complain to your national data protection authority. In Lithuania that is the State Data Protection Inspectorate.

Separately from this website: nokko’s App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”, and that is the whole label. The app has no server, no account and no analytics. It stores your work as Markdown files on your own disk, in a folder you chose through the Open panel, and it reports nothing about how you use it.

The only network connections it ever opens are to endpoints you configure yourself, and sharing is off until you switch it on. With GitHub sharing, nokko talks to api.github.com with your own OAuth token (granted on GitHub’s consent page by device code and kept in your macOS Keychain), and your files go to a private repository on your own account under GitHub’s privacy policy. With SFTP, it opens an SSH connection to a host you typed in; the host key and your credentials stay in the Keychain. In a shared workspace, task comments are Markdown files in that same repository or server, seen only by the people you invited. There is no service of ours in the middle, and we never see your files.

Nothing leaves your Mac automatically. A crash report reaches us only if you send it yourself, from your own Mail compose window. Subscriptions and the Lifetime purchase are sold by Apple through the App Store: your payment details never reach us, and we see sales totals, never who bought.
